Playing around

While the guys sheared sheep, we had women in the house spinning wool. The second pic shows a lady doing that. Jordyn and Dayvid played checkers and Jaycob played around on the stilts.

Shearing Sheep

This past weekend at the farm was our period sheep shearing. They used hand crank shears. It was really neat to see the guys shear the sheep.

Picking up sticks

A friend of ours asked if we would help her pick up sticks out of her yard so that she could mow. There is only her and her husband, so they were really grateful that we all came and helped!


Her husband was digging a hole and it had huge rocks in it. Matt, Lee and Dave (her husband) used a rope to haul it out.

Roasting marshmallows

Mom wanted to roast marshmallows, so Matt and Lee got some sticks and wood that the boys had cut down and Lee started us a little fire.


The kids had SO much fun roasting their own marshmallows!

Anna Beth, Lisa, and I. I got to see the Alamo the last week I was in Texas. It was a nice experience to be able to stand in the exact places famous people have stood, and to see the famous sites where things happened.
