A new filly...
After the park we went to clean stalls and feed the horses at Equus and play around with the new filly! She is such a pretty horse and next week there will be even more horses to mess with!
She is only a couple months old and believe it or not, is VERY strong! Since she is a baby she is rather dumb (sorry, I couldn't think of a better word) so she gets into everything and will run into you if you don't get out of the way. Matt was cleaning a stall and had almost a full wheel barrel of manure and she walked right into it, hitting everyone of her legs on the handles. She is a little afraid of people and you have to really man handle her to get close and pet her. But with time, she'll be ok.

At the park
Yesterday was a beautiful day and Mom took us all to the park to have a stroll through the woods. It was nice to be out and not be SO hot! We walked the entire length of the trail, but it wasn't very long so it only took about an hour. The mosquitoes were absolutely awful and poor Adam had everyone hitting him smashing mosquitoes! But over all, we had a wonderful time and we are enjoying the cooler weather!

Labor Day
The Plowing Contest
Every year Carriage Hill has a Plowing Contest where people all over the states and some from Canada come and compete at plowing with their horses. It was really cool and one fellow (he was 75) had seven horses hitched up and was plowing. It was great!!! I had an awesome time and would like to try it sometime. Well, I have done it before but Lee was leading the horse. So, it would be quite different!
