Jaycob turns 13!!!

I wanted to take pictures of Jaycob on his 13Th birthday and this is what I turned out with. It was fun trying to find different poses for him and who knows, I might try out to be a professional!

A new filly...

After the park we went to clean stalls and feed the horses at Equus and play around with the new filly! She is such a pretty horse and next week there will be even more horses to mess with!

She is only a couple months old and believe it or not, is VERY strong! Since she is a baby she is rather dumb (sorry, I couldn't think of a better word) so she gets into everything and will run into you if you don't get out of the way. Matt was cleaning a stall and had almost a full wheel barrel of manure and she walked right into it, hitting everyone of her legs on the handles. She is a little afraid of people and you have to really man handle her to get close and pet her. But with time, she'll be ok.

At the park

Yesterday was a beautiful day and Mom took us all to the park to have a stroll through the woods. It was nice to be out and not be SO hot! We walked the entire length of the trail, but it wasn't very long so it only took about an hour. The mosquitoes were absolutely awful and poor Adam had everyone hitting him smashing mosquitoes! But over all, we had a wonderful time and we are enjoying the cooler weather!

Another Quilt

A friend ordered a quilt last week and I had so much fun making this one. This is the first 'picture' quilt that I have done. It was a breeze and didn't take very long at all. I give it to him tomorrow and I hope he likes it!

Labor Day

We went to my Uncle's house after spending the day at Carriage Hill (we were there Friday through Monday). Here's my Grandma (she's getting a haircut later on!)

The Plowing Contest

Every year Carriage Hill has a Plowing Contest where people all over the states and some from Canada come and compete at plowing with their horses. It was really cool and one fellow (he was 75) had seven horses hitched up and was plowing. It was great!!! I had an awesome time and would like to try it sometime. Well, I have done it before but Lee was leading the horse. So, it would be quite different!

Me and Farmer Jim. I love him!

Jordyn and Lee. Jordyn is wearing his hat!

Playing Music

On Saturday night, the plowers and a few people from Carriage Hill played music under the tent after a hard day of working. Here, Jordyn and Lee are playing around.

Farmer Jim on his banjo.

Lee's Family

Lee's family came up for the Plowing Contest and we got to meet them for the first time and got to go out to eat. We had a great time and we really enjoyed their company.

Stephen, Lee's mom, Cheryl, Dad, Me, Lee's grandpa (sorry grandpa I don't know your name)(We called him grandpa the whole weekend!), Lee's dad, David, and sitting in the chair is Lee's grandma and again I don't know her name either!

Joe's Quilt

I made this quilt for my friend, Joe, for his 22nd birthday. I had a blast making it and I think he liked it!
